As Mark is with us until at least the end of the season and we have no options to purchase anybody else then he gets my support as does every player that walks out onto the pitch wearing the seagulls colours. I do not care how good / bad a player is, the fact that he is playing for us is enough for me. I am also a firm believer in negative energy causing teams to under perform. If for once we all got behind the lads at Withdean then I am sure this luckless spell we are going through will clear and we will pick up enough points to stay in this division. It is about time that we stopped having a pop at our players / Manager / Chairman and started doing what we are supposed to do and support our team.

He is here till end of next year

He won't if we keep abusing him. My bet is he will scoot in the summer and will probably end up at Orient.

Thats going to want me to stop why?

Because with a squad the size of ours we need every player to give 100 % for our club and the only way they will do that is if we all get off their backs.

Thanks, Doctor Yorkie! So, the pub quiz question now reads:

"Who is the only player in Football League history to have been stretchered off with an inner ear infection?"

:lolol:  :lolol:

I hope you never get one, mate. My first editor got carried out of our offices with one of those and as he was a couple of years away from retirement, he never worked again.

Really, the joke died with the flu but nice to see you flogging a dead horse like a trooper

What's this? McCammon is going to Orient if we have a go at him?

Must get to Preston and berate him, not many there so he will have more chance of hearing every single word. I find myself even more angry on my walk into work. He gets paid more than me (partly BY me!) for being a useless, lazy, unfit, offensive waste of space.

Has Liz got any more room on the coach?

"Flogging a dead horse like a trooper."

Interesting turn of phrase. Particularly as cavalry horses are often known as troopers. What a picture that paints.

You seem awfully touchy today. Is the relegation battle getting to you? Are you feeling that maybe your confidence of a few weeks ago was somewhat misplaced? Are you beginning to regret taking the piss quite as regularly as you did?

Chin up, LI. We all make mistakes.

From a Coventry perspective I have seen McGammon flaps twice this season for Millwall and now the Albion and on both occasions was a constant threat and the one most likely to score in the first half. His performance in the second half was less impressive.

As for the penalty all I can say is I've now idea why it was given but as you will well know when you are in that position decisions go agains't you all the time and a slice of luck for the sky blues was well over due I'm just sorry it was at your expense and finally the dis-allowed goal in the first half was for offside but it went in off McCammon's hand as I could see that clearly from where I was sitting. Anyway good luck for your remaining 6 games I would hate to see either of us go down

:D Writing us off as relegated then, TLB? Music to the ears, my far-from-touchy friend. :smokin:

Not at all. I wouldn't dare do such a thing. The relegation battle has obviously got plenty of twists and turns left in it yet. Anything could happen. Albion have got as much chance of survival as anybody else. And as much change of the dreaded drop too.

However, I do remember a certain someone bouncing threads not so long ago in an attempt to take the piss out of those of us who thought Brighton were in for a long, hard season back in August. That certain someone seemed to believe then that his team had already done enough to avoid relegation. And they've lost five on the bounce since then.

I'll have to see if I can locate the thread where you were making bold predictions about Albion's remaining fixtures a few weeks back. That should be laugh.
