It is hilarious that just because he often predicts we might not win in the PL, he doesn't like us.

Most of the Albion fans I know don't predict we'll win!!:albion2::lolol:

What utter bollocks, stop playing the victim.

I fail to see how I am playing a victim. Others have said he tries to be neutral however when he is ever talking about his career, the focus is always on his time at PNE and Liverpool. Poor old victim BHAFC only ever gets a cursory mention

Who would have thought he might mention his home town club and the club he won 5 titles, a European Cup and an FA Cup when talking about his career. :lolol:

He's from Preston, his dad played for Preston, he supported Preston growing up.

He won the first division with Liverpool five times, the League Cup three times and the European Cup and FA Cup too.

If you talk to the bloke about the Albion he's always positive, but it wasn't the highlight of his career getting promoted from Division Two whilst missing the key matches with a broken arm. That's not disdain, it's you being a prize dick.

Neither here nor there
There are some things that people will choose to believe regardless of how many times they're corrected. Like Crawley Town refusing to let us groundshare. And most aspects of Poogate.

Mark Lawrenson has been asked several times to my knowledge about his time at Brighton and he's always sounded like he had an amazing time with the club and in some respects was sorry to move on. I've no idea why the idea persists that he belittles and/or snubs us.

As a pundit, his job is to be as even-handed as possible and I think he is. I'd rather that than have a "Wrighty" figure pretending to be rooting for a club he once played for.

I enjoy listening to him. And I think he is realistic about the club. I'd rather that than some subjective and emotive delusion.

I think the reason why he mentions us less than Preston and Liverpool is because at heart he is a Preston man and Liverpool was were his career took off and he won big. Also folk want to hear about Liverpool more than us.

It is absurd, and not a little needy, to demand that somehow this is balanced. I just don't get it.

Lawro did an interview on the Roar too and came across as a really fun bloke who seemed to have an absolute blast whilst here at the Albion. I look forward to listening to this one too.

Dunno why people always the dig at Lawro, yes he had a great career at Liverpool which I'm sure he will take about at length, but there is no doubt he really enjoyed his time playing for us

Enjoyed that! Amazing to learn that we got him from Preston because we outbid Liverpool! Still, we made a nice almost £800K profit on him.

How personal and eloquent an insult. Flattery will get you everywhere! Good job life is about making opinions, you've certainly helped form mine.

You'd already formed your opinion. The sniffy "Does he admit he actually played for us? Does he explain his disdain for us?" backed by zero evidence is indicative of your position, which many have debunked.

I think he meant, his opinion of you, to be fair...

Quite easy to provide plenty evidence if you actually take a look at his media work but you really are boring me so much that I cannot be bothered to provide you with which you so desire

Yea - well why doesn't he always predict us to WIN ?

Ha.

QED.

It's funny, but also frustrating in a way, how those folk can seek some sort of solace in a pundit predicting us to win a lot. As if somehow it will change things or gain some sort of miss-placed recognition. It's not good to expect someone who is supposed to be neutral to reflect your hopes and occasional delusions.

My experience of Lawro is simply that he always makes a lot of time to speak to what, in the grandest scheme of things, are smaller social media and radio ventures.

That is a really positive mark for me. He never says 'No, you only have a few hundred listeners'. He simply agrees and enjoys doing it. That's respect.

I enjoyed this podcast because he made time. Good man. The interviewer read him well and facilitated it too.
