I loved them, I really REALLY did. They were easily the best on the station, pure genius. Colin and Edith are good too, but not up to the standard of M&L. Sarah Cox is god awful though.:shootself

I used to like listening to those hoax phone calls they used to make. They were hilarious. thats all I tuned in for ... weekdays at 3pm. legends.

You are confused with Chris Moyles and his sidekick Comedy Dave, who are now on the breakfast slot.

Comedy Dave. . . now there's an oxymoron. . .

Used to love Mark and Lard, but from what I've heard last couple of months, think they've maybe "jumped the shark". . . Too many crappy "an hilarious" accents, too many running-jokes-flogged-to-within-an-inch-of-their-lives.
Mind you, never used to like Stuart Maconie, now respect him and his all-knowing rock expertise. Reckon Mark Radcliffe could do similar job on Radio 2.

Mark and Lard were fantastic. They were the last of the intelligent DJs on Radio One. Their humour was a cut above the rest, and they played some interesting music. I bet the listening figures have dropped since they left.

I don't think I've had Radio One on since they left. Moyles just gets on my tits now, and Coxy's OK but I preferred her on breakfast. In any case, I don't want to listen to Busted and all that other teeny bopper crap.

I can remember listening to Radcliffe on something I think was called "Out on Blue 5" or 6 on Radio 5 years ago, actuaully more like 1990 before he went big, the show was a breath of fresh air coming soon after the era of Steve Wright, Simon sentimental Bates, DLT and that knob with the big nose that used to do the lunchtime show.

I thought they were OK - but only on their late and afternoon shows. Thier morning show was hideous. But saying that, I can't abide anything in the morning other than a cup of tea, my own choice of CD and a blow job.

outstanding classic comedy duo. and also very clever. unlike any of the other morons on radio 1. would like to say moyles is a complete arse wipe and a waste of space.
do still hold some hope for colin and edith because they seem to have a little bit of brain. but then again i will not be listening to daytime radio 1 anymore. at least mark and lard used to play some decent music now and again.
jo wiley used to be ok. but she only plays crap rap and never ever shuts up about darkness. the word darkness is in every single sentance that comes from her mouth. and i cannot stand them. sorry but thats my opinion, but then again i am over 30 and radio 1 is aimed at teenagers and early 20s.

It's bizarre how opinions differ so widely. I'm think Mark and Lard spouted a load of juvenile old tosh. How they lasted as long as they did I'll never know. Biggedy Biggedy Bong! I ask you.

Chris Moyles on the other hand is superb. Really enjoy his morning show.

you must be under 22. only met 1 person above that age who likes moyles. think that is why opinions differ so much.,

i used to love mark and lard when they did the breakfast show, just a shame not that many people get their humour. but that sums up radio 1 listeners .
