Why would you think I have to be on a wind-up to object to signings from tin-pot park outfits when we are a second-tier club playing in the finest stadium in the country?

If he went to Millwall and set the world alight, you would be the first one ranting that Poyet is the Antichrist for not snapping up this kind of talent that was sitting on our doorstep.

I imagine we're paying him shit all, so let's see if we can develop him. If it doesn't work out, then it doesn't work out, we can afford to take these risks now.

And if you think we have the best stadium in the country then you can't have left Sussex very often.

I can never work out whether you are serious or not with your constant stream of negative nonsense, and I can't work out which is sadder, me falling for it if it is a wind up, or you continually peddling out such drivel and getting some kind of weird kick from it. I almost hope it's me falling for it as I don't like to believe that there are actually people in the world in this day and age who don't have enough going on in their lives to get their kicks out of real things, rather than winding people up on an internet messageboard.

High up on the South Downs.
Peter Ward, CMS, Brian Horton, Michel Kuipers, Glenn Murray, Craig Noone, Paul Rogers and others all started with "tin-pot" non league clubs.
March is signing for the development squad - he is not going into the first team.

Got a mate who plays for Lewes and has said he's a good talent, might struggle at first but he'll get better, but also has a bit of an attitude, hopefully that can be sorted

We can afford NOT to take these risks now is what you should be saying. When we played in an athletics stadium with no-marks like Alex Revell and Tommy Fraser in our team then a kid from Lewes wasn't really much of a step down, and if he had some potential then great. We don't need to be messing about with stuff like this now. We've got The Amex, we've got Gus, we've got £3m sexy Craig upfront. Quite simply, non-league plodders are not worthy of dining at the top table with these GLADIATORS of Championship football.

And for a change, I am actually serious!

I do see what you are saying, honestly I do. But you're wrong. For the first time in twenty years, we should genuinely be getting first dibs on any local, young non-league talent. Get them in, work with them, develop them, and if they work out then great, if they don't, then never mind.

Oh, and as for this, of course The Amex is the finest stadium in the country. I've watched the Albion at about 70 stadiums in the UK and been to approximately 10-15 foreign ones too. Name me just one that is better than The Amex and I'll tell you why it's not.

I think you are getting confused with 'favourite' stadium, rather than 'best'. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the Amex, but it isn't the best in the country, no way. It's not even finished, for a start.
