Why does it take us so long to get things over the line? Burnley move for alternative and have already wrapped him up!

Complex negotiations? Saving money on salaries by signing players late? Who knows?

There's still a whole week to get the 2 or 3 players in we need. Wouldn't be at all surprised if things go to the final day. No need to rush.

2 or 3? Some people don't half want a lot! We've already brought in Sarmiento and Mwepu, and the Japanese winger on loan at USG until next season. If we can get Cucurella in*, arrange another two or three good loans, get Percy happily settled in Egypt and get rid of Locadia we'll have had a terrific window!

*If the delay is due to Cucurella not really wanting to come here, making excessive wage demands or insisting on other terms and conditions, or holding out for a 'bigger' move, he can stay where he is. We don't need players coming here reluctantly and sulking. If he's keen to come and join us, then welcome to Brighton!

They have been chasing him all summer apparently, so not that quick and it’s not over the line, they are making progress, just like we are with Cucurella. Will Hughes might be going there too

Quite probably as these are our top targets, Burnley sniffed around and thought either too complicated or more likely we were streets ahead of them on the deal.

The Argus reckon Getafe accepted Burnley’s offer for Cucu but he wasn’t keen.

Now that they blown their stash for the Cornet, Getafe are back to just one offer. We won’t be played about with. The ball is back in the Spanish court.

It's like a slow death waiting for us to get signings over the line, never mind in bloom we trust. Happy days

Mate, we'll be fine :lolol:
