Let's get the league game won.

Man U are likely to go strong in the cup game as the really do need silverwear of any description so I think we may struggle with our 2nd XI out.

I'm in the minority I'm sure but I think the cup game.

I expect us to lose both and a league loss to Man U is not going to be what relegates us if such a thing were to happen. The League cup is probably the only competition we could ever hope to win especially in a season where it has less importance to the big clubs than ever. A trophy and a european tour next season yes please...

Why are most on here expecting us to lose on Saturday? Did you watch that lot against palace? Play the team not the name.

Agree. They are a couple of weeks behind us in terms of readiness for the season. Now is a good time to play then twice!

Win in the league by at least 3 goals, thus proving superiority to Palace, win by 4 goals in the cup, just to rub it in.

We can win both.

But, I think I’d rather win the cup game. Knocking Manchester United out of a cup and getting to the quarter final for only the second time in our history? Yes, please! Wouldn’t be out of the question to get Fulham and beat them to get to the semi finals either.

We’re not expected to beat them in the league, so a loss wouldn’t really effect us, plus we got the 3 points last week.

If it was someone like Leeds United, then it would be a different story.

Because they absolutely hammered us last time we played them. And did a job on us the time before that too. They had an off day against Palace we have to assume we're going to be playing the best United.

League win is more important.

Is it though? Out of the 10/11 wins we need this season (we already have 1) is Manchester United at home a must win?

We have made some porogress and several significant changes/upgrades since then. Even without Bissouma.

i think both are winnable - start AJ up front alongside Maupay and Trossard. In the cup game i would expect Utd to put out a weak (by their standards) team. I think(?) they have a Europe game on Thursday too so would likely (hopefully) take the cup game as low priority

We'll win both = probably quite easily - theyve got class and liabilities all over the pitch - we are solid all over now

Its still Manchester United. They are not going to be as shit as they were against Palace every week (unfortunately, as it would be quite entertaining to watch them go down).

Far from a certain loss but still the most likely outcome.
