Is ray wilkins watching the same game as me? Downing and one of the defenders are together, the man utd defender is pulling on downing's shirt, downing isn't pulling on his, "six of one..."

Now, There's clearly contact between Ferdinand's foot and Adams's foot (no, it wasn't a lot, and certainly not a yellow card, just a free kick, ref got it right), and he says there's no contact. Looks like it was double contact, toe "scraping" the ankle, then as rio planted his foot, it trapped the toes of Adams.

1-0 Liverpool from the free kick, low, though the wall, de gea left planted in the middle of the goal. Beaten before he could react.

Stream gone just before Gerrard scores. Some much for tippy-tappy. All the few chances are coming with the teams, mostly Liverpool, running at the defence with the ball at their feet

That was a blatant dive in my book. Yes there may (or may not) have been contact, but it if there was it was SO minimal and would certainly not have caused Adam to fall over, he went down of his own accord - Dived! Agree with you about Smalling pulling Downing's shirt though!

I think it wasn't so much a dive, as an exaggeration. Rio's foot trapped adams' foot momentarily, which, at the speed he was going, would have caused him to stumble if he'd tried to stay up, and so the free kick was right (but if refs were able/willing to book people for exaggerating as well as award them the free kick for being fouled, I would say this is one of those situations).

1-1. Hernandez meeting a corner at the far post.

Ray still not watching the same game (liverpool player had his arm at his side and the ball hit the crevice between his arm and torso, from one foot away) being described as the same as evans' (standing three feet away from Kuyt's header with his arm out)...
