Did anyone see this last night? Fantastic merging of the songs of Gods' own city to the story of JC, and an enourmous crucifix carried through the streets of Manchester.

Songs by

Joy Division
The Smiths
Oasis
New Order
James
Stone Roses
Morrissey

...sadly let down by poxy Angels by Robbie finishing it off, but other than that an excellent and thought provoking interpretation (and I am a born again Athiest by the way).

I sat opposite a bloke with the script to Manchester Passion on the train last week, having seen a bit of it last night, turns out he was Judas. Imagine that, Judas lives in Brighton.

I only saw bits of it last night and it looked like a great spectacle. I didn't watch it though as I'm not a big fan of any of the bands. Radio 3 broadcast Bach's St John's Passion yesterday afternoon - much more my cup of tea.

Full marks to the BBC for attempting something different though.

I thought Judas went to Leeds. Oh well, who cares; up North is all the same to me.

Far too much religion creeping into Easter nowadays

Damn right! Everyone should know that the real meaning of Easter is chocolate.

Judas was played by Tim Booth, frontman of James. Didn't realise he lived in Brighton.

Top marks to all involved with the Manchester Passion:clap:

You were sitting opposite the one and only Tim Booth of James then Max. If only he knew he was in the company of a celebrity he could have had your autograph

Robbie Williams is from Burslem, isn't it all the same up north, dark satanic mills and streets of back to back houses with outside toilets, flat caps and whippets?

(Awaits flaming from Northern Seagulls, or those who admit to affiliations with people from north of Watford)
