Sake! We looked twice the team as soon as he came on. Thought we'd finally moved beyond the days of brainlessly bringing on a game-changing player with two minutes to go. Apparently not.

I think the idea was he was going to make an instant impact or not at all, so the idea was to give him a few minutes, try and get the draw, and then not have time for them to get another one. Too be fair o Gus it so nearly worked, as CMS should have scored at the end, and if he did teh plan would have been a masterplan.

But we lost, so I suppose some have to find fault with Gus, even though after 10 minutes we would have all taken a 1-0 defeat then. The three subs were the reason we only lost 1-0 and it could have been so much different if CMS had his scoring boots on

I do think Buckley isn't ready to fully start yet. These niggling injuries aren't helping his chances of getting into the starting a eleven. If he can proves in training and maybe reserves games he is fully fit, then I think he will start. But today, Forest and Middlesbrough, he looks different class and we look more threatening going forward every time with him on the pitch. I honestly think Gus isn't risking him yet, till he is ready.

Give us a break. Any player that comes on with two minutes left and turns the game, then that's a bit of luck. It's not some kind of bollocks masterplan. Give that same player twenty minutes at the end and you might just have a case. As things stand today, it was just shit tactics giving him two minutes. Probably cost us a point.

I think a heck of a lot of credit should go to Poyet for the formation and positions that he went for when we went down to 9 men.

At first I couldn't understand why he was taking Lua Lua off for Noone (winger for winger?), but switching sides and playing Noone and Taricco as wings back worked so well under the circumstances. Credit, it nearly worked.

I love it how some fans criticise after a performance like that.

Gus managed the 9 players he had out on the field PERFECTLY today, the formation was spot on and we should have got something out of the game in the end.

Buckley came on with a couple to go yes and didn't have much time to have an impact, but did his inclusion really directly influence things? Did he even touch the ball and have much impact? No more impact than any other player on the park. You're really splitting hairs moaning that he should have been introduced about 5 minutes earlier!

Why would you want to bring him on earlier with 20 mins to go, gus had a plan it nearly worked. It's 1-0 Buckley comes on with 20 to we now have 2 up front leaving the midfield even more weaker burnley get another then the floodgates open.

Gus great tactics but yes the ref cocked up but if a player punches a player and another stamps on another player what do you expect,. I was at the game but until I see the tv footage you have to keep a opened mind.

But the team would of learnt a lot today

But I was proud to be cheering on the Albion today

CMS missing 'cost' us a point. Bringing Buckley on any earlier would not have made much difference in my opinion. I thin the reason we started getting closer at the end was because Burnley shat themselves and suddenly thought 'oh my god we may not win and we've been playing against nine men for 80 minutes' and consequently became a bit nervy in defence.

The fact tht as a unit they were doing the job ...all nine of them ...CMS had 2 half chances b4 Buckley was brought on...so IMHO Poyet played it right

Um, let's see... With eleven players on the pitch we normally bring on A Fresh Pair Of Legs with 60 or 70 minutes on the clock. So with nine players on the pitch we bring on A Fresh Pair Of Legs with 89 minutes on the clock

It was nine against eleven. If it was working at all, it was only because Burnley were so truly madly deeply shite. That '5 minutes earlier' is neither here nor there. Too little, too late. If we were going to salvage something out of the game, he needed bringing on at the traditional 60/70 minute mark. IMHO, like.
