Well done boys , hopefully not the kiss of death
August 2011 Poyet won manager of the month, & won the next match. That's fantastic but no wins in the next six.
Chris Hughton has challenged Kazenga LuaLua to keep delivering after Albion landed an award double.
Boss Hughton was named Championship manager of the month while LuaLua took the players’ prize.
Hughton said: “Kaz thoroughly deserves the award, he’s had a wonderful start.
“There were really good signs of it during pre-season and he came back in good shape.
“We were able to do a lot of work with him and he’s grown in confidence but the area where he has excelled in his game is where he has got on the ball and provided an end product.
“He has been exceptional in our first few games and he has a responsibility to keep that going and work on the aspects of his game that can help him improve.”
As for his own award, Hughton added: “Anybody in my position would recognise that, although it’s me picking up the award, it’s because of the work that so many have done here.”
Albion completed the month with a 3-2 win at Ipswich and Don Goodman, one of the award judges, said: “The strength of character shown by Hughton’s team to get the winner after letting a two-goal lead slip stands them in good stead for the rest of the season
