Hate to say it but the second half display is pretty much football perfection at times

United could well win the Champions league this season as well as the league given their current form and if they do get to the final I will be supporting them as well - fact.

Ronaldo is such a good player, its such a shame he has to resort to being an embarrasment sometimes.

Newcastle couldn't get near him today for two reasons:
a) he's too good
b) because everytime they did, he threw himself on the floor like a twat.

He reminds me so much of that bloke in the Wickes advert!

Wise words Beachy. NOTHING could compare with the joy generated with Nathan's equaliser today though.

Too true, I bet it was fantastic and made you cream your pants

Glory glory Man United. By far and away the best team, the best club, with the best manager, and the best player. I'm hoping for a TREBLE.

I assume that's because the quadruple is out of reach due to their elimination by............COVENTRY.

Best team, perhaps, it's a close thing. Arsenal do however play the beautiful game more often.

Best club, definitely not. To cause some of their loyal fans to break away and form a new club in the guise of FC United shows the contempt the Glazers have for the true supporters. Similar exercises with the automatic debiting of accounts for cup games for STH, draconian stewarding procedures and being found guilty of forming a cartel to keep replica shirt prices high indicate the depths the club will trawl to separate fans from their hard earned.

Best manager? NO, United, despite being the most wealthy club in the country, have only one Champions League title to their name in 15 attempts. A poor show at the highest level.

Best player? NO, a truly great player would not resort to the incessant cheating employed by Ronaldo.

Back to the game, I haven't seen it yet, but am I right in thinking Alan Smith got himself sent off for contesting the legitimacy of the SIXTH United goal?

Fair play to him, nothing like getting wound up over a humiliatingly lost cause :lolol:
