We’ve been to every game at Goodison, except the first year in the Premier lLeague. Last season there were hundreds of empty seats and this will probably be the case again if it’s members only. The Scouse Seagulls has about a dozen members but if they have to all buy MyAlbion+ every season to see a couple of games this number will probably drop to two or three. I’ve got no problem with members getting 2-3 days to buy a ticket, but don’t understand why the club wouldn’t then sell the remaining tickets to fans with a Purchase History. No doubt we’ll be welcome to make up the numbers at Burnley.

Because as explained already, it just means that our away end has several hundred Man U, Liverpool, etc etc fans in it which no one wants.

Honestly just buy the membership - it’s not that expensive.

Is E233 the seated block ? After reading your post I thought I had better check ours and we are in E230 which is safe standing (what we wanted). There is a seated platform at the back. Most of the remaining seats are in 229 which is also safe standing.

Yes E233 is stated as all seating, the platform at the back is a disabled area which i guess has been raised so they can see over the heads of the safe standing in front of them. S229 was the last block released i think before they went on sale to Albion + so that they had a choice of whether to stand or sit.

I’ve phoned the club and excess tickets do go to Purchase History if they aren’t sold to Albion+. We only go to maybe three or four games each season. I’m not buying My Albion+ on principle because I don’t think people should have to pay for the privilege of buying a ticket, also it’s not worth it for maybe one extra game. Last season we went to four games. If they all sell out to Albion+ for United then we’ll wait for Burnley, Everton, City or Sheffield. If there are some left for United and the club want to sell them then they’ll make them available on Purchase History. It is quite easy to spot the genuine fans so if there are home fans in the away end that is because the club has sold tickets to people who clearly don’t support the Albion.

That'd seem reasonable to me if we were still in the Championship, but the club's at a point where a significant number of people actually want to attend our matches, and £30 a season to get a chance to go to pretty much any game north of London (plus the southern games if we happen to be playing down there over Christmas) doesn't seem too bad.
Excluding cup games I think it worked out to £6 per away game for me last season.

I think the issue is why has the purchase history option disappeared rather than the priority you might get with membership. As a STH I have not looked at the membership/purchase history rules but it does seem strange they might have changed and if so no announcement.

As far as I know they normally give a date for tickets to go on sale to Purchase History at the same time as they give the on sale dates for every other group.
Nothing's actually changed as far as I can tell. If you don't buy a membership you haven't signed up to any set of rules for the club to change.
In any case, I gather from the posts above that the club will in fact put tickets for the Man U game on sale to people with purchase history if they don't sell out, rendering all of my posts above speculating about why they might not do that for this particular fixture a complete waste of time.

Correct. MyAlbion+ means you’ve maybe got a chance of going to Anfield. All other games up north probably won’t sell out to MyAlbion+ so will then become available to people with a Purchase History. Hopefully see you all at Old Trafford, if not, then the Etihad. UTA.

Living as I do in the NW we tend to go to places like Blackpool, Wigan, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester. We’ve been to Wolves and Villa once, but they tend to sell out more regularly.

388 means 10 were sold yesterday evening.

Yep. I think cost of living issues are beginning to bite a bit.

In addition I wonder how many people used to just buy tickets for the points. Now that some games are digital the points won't be so easy to blag.

I think you're right, both of those things perhaps plus also thinking about saving money for the European games. There is a LOT of football coming up and therefore I think people are picking and choosing. Myself, I'm not going to Wolves away, partly as I'd rather enjoy the summer with the kids than trudge to Wolves and the poor away end (side) that there is, but partly because there is so much football coming up that I have to be more choosy or I'll never see any of the family!

You are right, but it just feels slower. Maybe not. Might also be because they released the final 1,000 later rather than selling the whole lot from the start?

Haven’t we also got more tickets this year ? With only a few left that justifies the decision to take them. Doesn’t matter how long they take to sell as long as they sell. The game is a month away and yet almost sold out.
