Erm, YES! Also, a Premier League matchday squad is 18 now.

But I watch LOADS of football, I really do have nothing better to do.

Ritchie De Laet is the weird one, he signed on a free from Stoke (no, really) in janury. I'll be interested to see how he gets on, it was a really random signing! I would have preferred to see Zoran Tosic start on the left, but there you go. I would have picked mostly the same team in Fergie's position.

they have earned the right to do whatever they want regarding team selection in my opinion

Probably good enough to win though.

Talk about disrepecting the other teams in the relegation fight. :nono:

what a load of tosh.

i HATE united with a PASSION....but they deserve to have the right to play whoever they want in a game just before a champs league final. These players are not going to be crap, no way.

I recognise all the names, and some of those players have cost a FAIR WEDGE of dosh.

Again, i hate united, but they can do whatever they want in their situation. they have earned it.

Ferguson would be placing his 'nads on the line and showing his arse to the league if he sent out a bunch of no-name 3rd-teamers. Most of that team are the future of Manure and therefore tomorrow's apex of the English league!

Hull might yet get a result and I hope they do - but they can take nothing for granted, not at all. Of course if the Tigers win there'll be miseryguts Geordies pointing fat yellowy fingers and making those funny sounds they are known to make.

Come on City!

England
Kuszczak,(3 million) Rafael Da Silva,(class) Neville,(england international) Brown,(england international) De Laet, Nani,(portugese international, 10 million or something) Fletcher(class this year, would have played champs final if not suspended), Gibson(very good player, and international), Welbeck(england youth), Martin, Macheda (wunderkid innit).
Subs: Amos, Tosic(cost a fortune), Possebon, Eckersley, Corry Evans, Drinkwater, James.

hardly WEAK! i know by their standards it is, but its still a VERY good group of players

Kusczcak, Rafael, Neville, Brown, De Laet, Nani, Gibson, Fletcher, Welbeck, Martin, Macheda.

Exactly why the CL final shouldn't be as close to the last game of the season as it is.

Barca have fielded 2 weak teams after securing the title (losing both) and now Utd are having to do the same.

If they win nothing else will be said, but if they lose it will be a very different story.

I've always been told I have an idealistic view on football, and I do, I don't argue that. But I honestly don't see a problem with the team Man Utd have picked today, it's a little bit disrespectful if you look at it in relative terms, but it's not a match which matters to Man Utd and therefore I really do see a problem with them playing a reserve team.

I still think Man Utd will win the match, but even if they don't, it's just one of 38 games and it's not fair in my opinion to rant about them playing a reserve team to send anyone down.

Wasn't Ferdinand supposed to be playing today to prove his fitness for the Barca match? Or did wiley old Sir Alex call his bluff? ???

Fergie said he didn't make it, not quite fit enough. Which is a shame, but he's a stick on for the final anyway to be fair. He'll play the final I'm sure.
