I hardly think a club who are trying to crack Europe and are likely to lose one of the top managers around at the end of the season, would be sniffing around a Division Two side for their manager - come on FG u can do better than that

Worst wind up I've heard in a while apart from Berkshire trying to argue two opposite points at the same time.

this is pish. No reports of it up here. O'Neill will be away at the end of the season but I would put my mortgage on it being to Liverpool with Larssen following. There was some talk of McGhee for the Livi job but that gives you an indication of how highly rated he is up here. His stock was at its highest when he was at Reading/Leicester. I would be very surprised if he is quoted when O'Neill leaves at the end of the season.

Bloody hell, a slip back to the old FG there, having previously even been able to spell "respected".

I seem to recall McGhee saying he wouldn't quit, though.

Would explain why he was at Cameron House at New Year with some chaps in suits and geeen ties, said hello though but didn't have the bottle to ask why he Keeps playing Mayo!

(PS Cameron House is a plush hotel just north of Glasgow)

Losing managers to Leicester and Reading is pretty unimpressive. I'll be well chuffed if we can lose one to a Champions League team though :jester:

May even get a decent pre-season friendly for the first time in a decade too:clap2:

If O'Neil goes to Spurs I've already told my work colleagues that I'll run up Gray's Inn Road stark naked, singing the Albanian national anthem. I still think I'm pretty safe.

I'd put money on him going to Liverpool though.

Can't see Celtic wanting McGhee, they'll want a heavier hitter than that. And is he a left footer? I know these things aren't so important these days but I bet the manager's religion would be a factor.

He's also Scottish and presumably still has relatives/friends up here. That could explain it as well!

Shhh...I was sensationalising - like all good bullshitting newspapers - he was with family to be honest!
