Anyone had any experience of this auction site?
You don't get many credits to start with, just 2.

Any winners among you lot?

Absolute scam. It's essentially a competition, you just have to be around at the time when there's nobody else there with any bids to spend. Chances are, you'll never win anything. Avoid it like the plague!

Don't touch it with a bargepole, total waste of money

Well after reading everything on here I did my own research and decided to give it a go anyway.

I won a Gourmet Society Membership card which gives me 50% off my meals at a host of restaurants. About five of which I use very often and live next door to. It cost me 1 pence. I also won 185 extra credits.

If you're sensible and realistic about how much it'll cost you it's not that bad a site.

If you decide to sign up and see for yourself please use my username 'Biscuit66' and I get extra credits. :)

It's not aimed at people who are likely to be sensible and realistic though, is it? It is a scam website, make no mistake. Luring people in with cheap 'prices' and then charging every time they make a bid.

Under the list of 'recently completed auctions' they have a MacBook Pro (apparently RRP £1,000 although I've no idea if that's right). Six credits to bid, each costing 10p, and a closing price of £213.73, which indicates 21372 bids (assuming it started at 1p).

6 x .1 x 21372 = £12823.20
plus the £213.73 = £13036.93

They received over £13k of revenue and gave away one laptop worth £1k. That can be described as nothing other than a scam.

It's good business for them, yes. But for the winner who paid a couple of hundred it's good business for them!

I wouldn't get involved in anything like that. But a couple of other bids here and then and I've done OK. I'm not the kind of person that'd get to carried away though to be honest. So I imagine I'm not the customer they want.
