We could afford Bridge as Man City subsidised his wages and we only paid £10k a week for his services. Do you think it is a pure coincidence with FFP kicking in this season that Premier League clubs are now seeking a greater percentage of wages to be recouped in loan deals ?

How much do think he is on? He is 22 and has never really threatened to break into the first team at Old Trafford. He has a contract upto June 2014, ie the end of the current season. Bridge was an international with a domestic honours and was, reportedly, on £90k a week. I can't believe Macheda is even on a third of that. But being generous, if we paid half of that for a couple of months then I'm sure Man Utd would agree a deal but the problem is he isn't good enough!!!!
