Macedonia! Fancy dress help required

The other half is off to a Eurovision party tomorrow and has Macedonia.

Any ideas on what she can wear, take as food and take as drink?

Clothing looks like old Russian. Not so sure about food and drink though.

As costumes go, this is quite an easy one to make.

As mentioned already the national hero of Macedonia is Alexander the Great (much to the annoyance of the Greeks who also claim him as their own). He'd be an obvious choice.

Otherwise you could go as the national dish of grilled meat. Or the number one snack food which is a very greasy pastry stuffed with mincemeat - the Burek.

The drink of choice out there is Rakija, a fiercely alcoholic grape brandy, but I'm not sure how you'd make a costume out of that.

Maybe go as a bottle of Skopsko, the national beer?

Went travelling. Made some friends there. Got involved in a hostel who gave me a job. Something different innit?
