M40 or M1?

I think I'm edging towards M40 on account of M1 generally being a dog.

Yep m40 m42 for me its just a better drive!

I live in Warwickshire and do both motorways regularly.

The M1 is marginally quicker however this is only the case if it is clear which in my experience you are unlikely to get.

In contrast the M40 is a good run usually and by far the safer bet of the 2

And one other thing. It can be tempting to go a46 / m69 off the M40 to get to Derby especially if stuck in traffic. Don't. There is loads of roadworks just prior to the m69. Took me an hour to get through the other day.

M40 / m42 all the way.

Btw. Saturday nightlife in derby isn't a patch on Nottingham.

We are about 20 minutes South of Newport Pagnell services on the coach and its quiet on the M1 so far
