Well even Dick Knight had a pop at him for not using the loan system - with the result that half the 'underacheiving' team were the youth squad. Who did remarkably well under the circumstances of being chucked straight into First division competition I might add.

Oi Ref,

Sorry but M Hinshelwood didn't have a clue, to blame the players is just plain wrong.

Case in point...

...Hinsh needs a central defender, he has the option of M upson but declines and gets G Butters on an improved contract after he turned us down the first time....

...move forward to the end of the season, Upson has moved for 2 million quid and is in the full Emgland squad and Butters is onloan at conference side Barnet.

Hinsh may have been unlucky with Bob getting injured but he was also tactically inept and generally an all round loser.

this type of criticism is shite. i disagree. he made a few mistakes but so does everyone.

Exactly - who were the managers when Roy Keane and Ian Wright came a-calling?

Yer that makes sense, so I take it that all the good youth team players that are coming through now has nothing to do with Martin Hinshelwood I suppose.

FFS, he had a go and gave it a shot, we got relegated - where we good enough to stay up anyway??

He gets so much stick, it's over and done with and in the past now. Get over it.

Why is this being raised now

Surely this subject was done to death 18 months ago?
