Lynchs performance tonight!

In my opinion i thought he was superb! looked a very classy defender, very neat and tidy and fantastic in the air! looks to have grown over the summer and built up a lot of strengh! he also looked very confident on the ball at one stage sealing the gills striker with a dummy before passing the ball out wide! looked very impressive for someone who might of just got in the team as a left back if it wasnt for injurys to hinsh and butter marvelous performance and i thoughly enjoyed watching it and i hope theres a few more to come!

Lynch Has really done.
We now have a strong centre back partnership, with him and el abd.
And Hinch will be back soon hopefully some point for some competition.

Hear me about before people go up in arms. the Lynch El-Abd sexathon at the back is looking so good when Hinsh gets back I would play him at RB. He is strong, quick and his distribution is better than El-Abds. Also El-Abd is more of a leader, a role better suite dto CB, I believe.

Lynch will not be with us until the end of the season, he is too good for League One and a Cahmpionship team at least will pick him up in January.

We will have excellent depth when Hinsh gets back.

Lynch
Hinshelwood
El-Abd

Any of them would walk into most teams in this league. And there is Butters and Elphick. But I don't know how long Lynch will be here, and I still think an El-Abd Hinsh pairing is too short.

Hinsh is shithouse at rightback btw, El-Abd is better there.

He may well leave but not because he is too good for this level but because he is such a good future prospect. Last season he did well but showed little to convince me he is too good for league 1 at this moment in time.

Assuming all players are still with the club, I'd see our defence shaping up this way when injuries are mended.

LB - Lynch
LCB - Butters
RCB - Hinshelwood
RB - El Abd

I really don't want Lynch on the outside but Butters is too slow for that position. Lowe seems to be a reserve incase of injury until Butters and Hinsh are fit. This way, Reid can be used as a super-sub, able to come into either Defence or Midfield. Hart can focus on his real position, and Mayo would be a substitute.

Why even play Butters? He is too slow for any position. Our back 4 at the moment look the best we have had for a while. Granted, the standard of football is lower than last season but they still appear to be gelling and we are at least stable at the back with strong, fast centre backs. Too many times did I see Butters get skimmed last year and he was only saved on many occasions because we had the class of Mr Mcshane in there to cover for him.
