Would he be better in midfield instead of El-Abd? Elphick is playing well and should keep his place.Rents offers us good deliveries and is not bad at defending.Lynch is tall can tackle, has pace and looks to take players on.It would balance things out in midfield with him being left footed. He has more attributes then El-abd and better temperment.

That is a pretty good shout actually - would be worth trying him out there, he is a good passer and composed on the ball.

Yeh not a bad idea, I dont rate El abd in the middle, Reid when fit should be given a chance though. Fraser on the right is only successful when we play away and we are trying to defend against their wingers

If they are good enough they are old enough, can't remember which manager said that but think he was right, that isn't a bad back four.

Great call, I mentioned this in a thread earlier in the week after the Cardiff match. Think Lynch's composure on the ball and good distribution coupled with his strength would be a great asset in the middle of the park.

He could move into midfield much like Mark Lawrenson did for a bit.

Good shout. Would be plenty better than El Abd, given that he can do the whole running-around-kicking-people thing, but can actually control and pass the ball as well.

Oldest player 22? Think i'll give that a miss

what then, keep butters in there to do his usual job to sort out their big lad up front every saturday? oh yeah, he passed the buck to elphick to sort their 23 yesterday because guy couldn't handle him.

Thats a fair enough opinion, but have they got the organisational experience. Someone to make sure they're positioned correctly and marking is tight. I just think maybe you need an older head in there - sadly we go from promising(quality) teenagers to 38 year old
