He is worth more than this, we should make sure their are extras once he plays games or is sold on. I bet our youth system has cost 10 times this over the period we have nutured him from a lad into the first team.
I would still rather have him in the team especially if McNulty cannot make a full recovery.
10 times !!!
So it has costs us £2,000,000 to develop Lynch whilst going through our Centre of Excellence !!
Don't think so.
What about the dozens of lads we have invested in that do not make it, in and around his crop, its not just the one players value but the cost to the club. Southampton must have made millions off their centre of excellence.
I happen to think that Joel Lynch would be a far greater asset to the club than selling him for £200,000, however the club nor the player wishes that to happen, so he will be sold.
My sentiments as well, short term money that will just be sucked into the accountants speadsheets or a team of young up and coming footballers, I would rather have the young talented player.
Like the Wilkins affair I doubt we will never know the facts.
Unfortunately we are in a very weak bargaining position. Sadly £200-300k is probably going to be a good deal.He is worth more than this, we should make sure their are extras once he plays games or is sold on. Does anyone else feel are season began to go tits up when Lynch left. coincidence?
Might pay for a row of seats at Falmer.
I say get him back in the summer, get the new boss to try and work with him and lets see if we can't rescue this situation.
