Yeah, purely on the basis he had a nightmare during ONE game in which he had the flu and only played 45 minutes...

Nevermind every single other playing having a similarly bad game against Mansfield.

That's right - everyone who doesn't rate Lynch is a moron that knows nothing about football, judges players on one perfromance and just wants Brighton players to fail and be sold.

FFS grow up.

What other games did he disappoint at left back then?

Whenever I saw him he generally looked class, comfortable on the ball, strong in the air and a quality prospect.

Certainly a better pick than El Abd, Hawkins, Virgo or Hinshelwood judging by what has unfolded this season.

Urgh why don't people understand he doesn't want to play for us? Threw his toys out of the pram after 3 games because he wasn't starting when our other centre backs were doing a bloody good job.

NO EXCUSE for that. He was never even that good for us. He was quite quick but he never really evidenced having any positional sense.

Is he still on loan at Forest or did he sign for them permantley ?

If he is still on loan, will the new boss recall him ?

Lynch is and was a quality player and is missed at the back. He kept the ball on the floor and was a tenacious tackler. Adams was an idiot for letting him go. Get him back now!

Should read 'could be' a quality player. Caught dwelling on the ball too often and makes mistakes whether at left back or centre half. He had a great start in his first season then went down hill with all the speculation of interest at other clubs. A player with great potential but needs to show that with improved attitude and performance. He also has a penchant for the medical room which doesn't help. Sometimes wonder whether some players are just injury prone or if some just have a lower pain threshold!

They have paid us to keep him on loan till the end of the season so we cannot recall him

Nottingham Forest have confirmed they have reached an agreement with
Brighton to extend Joel Lynch's loan spell at The City Ground.

Forest struck the deal with Brighton before Christmas which means the 21
year old, who has already made 13 appearances for The Reds, will spend the
rest of the season on Trentside.

On talking to Les Rogers last year (ex Youth team manager), he told me that Lynch was the best of all the kids that he saw and that included Gareth Barry, he said he could do things that others could not do.

Like moan and bitch and upset his team mate. Like flouncing out and being a prima donna. At all these things,........he excels.
