I can't see Surrey,Yorkshire or Lancashire overtaking us so we should be fine

Every time I look at the table, I work out scenarios for us
winning the title. To be honest, there's very little likelihood of our winning the title OR going down.

Much as I LOVE county cricket, something has to be done to encourage teams to actually try to WIN games. Admittedly the weather has contributed to the number of draws, but for a side to top the table by winning 4 of 14 games is ridiculous.

I do not think cutting the number of overs a day by 8 has helped, effectively that is a session a match gone.

Agree. The weather has pretty much wrecked this season, but the number of games that have actually had results has been laughable.

We could, in theory, still go down having only lost twice in 16 games.

A ludicrous decision. Play stopping at 6.30 or so with plenty of sunshine left.

It is always going to be very cagey with such poor weather and captains less willing to make a chase for a target as defeat would potentially propel them to the wrong end of the table.

I would quite like Durham to take the title, as we are not going to do it ourselves.

Pro40 destiny seems to be in our hands, but whether the weather will be kind on us is another matter.

or become champions by winning only 4 times in 16, which is just as ridiculous.

If we can get some momentum with the one dayers this Thursday and Sunday we could get some silverware. Then take some zip and confidence into the last two county games.

Away at Durham we need to make sure we are in the game, they were the best side I have seen at Hove all year. Then hope the weather gives us the chance to win against Yorkshire.

Bar Surrey the league is so close this year, top to bottom. Any team from Yorkshire up that can muster two wins could win it, if results & weather go their way.

Your wish may be granted, Mr Clown.

Surrey are effectively relegated in that case. :bigwave:

Mackay should have stayed at a big club (thank god, he didn't).
