Not Luton! Thank God
Come off it.
It's a bit of a dive but it's a football stadium, it has a roof, four stands (well technically that weird windowed one is still a stand) that are next to the pitch. How far is the nearest ok pub from Kenilworth Road?

How much do you charge for tickets?

I bet we'll have more than you this weekend anyway.

Pretty close I suppose.

We charge £18, not that much cheaper.

Years in the top flight?

Luton 16
Brighton 4

Major trophies

Luton 1
Brighton 0

Attendance

We get more people than you despite being 2 divisions below you and we play in probably a worse stadium than the Withdean.

Overall the attendances seem to be about the same

England historical attendance and performance

EFS English Clubs

fair play, ignore some on here, tossers that think no club is bigger than BHA! You have some right wanker fans(who doesn't) but to still get the attendances that you do when so many others that go down flop i say fair play:thumbsup:

So our gates have always been bigger than yours, you haven't appeared in a proper cup final (FA Cup) and you're non league shite in the same crap ground with no proper stadium on the horizon, and you're bigger than us? ???

P.S. Look at your gates when you were last in the top flight. 9,000 or so. :lolol:

You keep telling yourself you're a big club darlin'
Your fans are scum, your ground is a dive and you're playing non-league. Just accept it..

We're not a big club, a good proportion of our fans are scum and we are playing non-league. I accept all of it.

There are only probably about a dozen "big clubs" and maybe another dozen "bigish" clubs. Everyone else is on pretty much the same level and whose league position will fluctuate wildly over the years.

You see, now I agree with you.

And right now, you're poxy non-league no-marks, aka "little".

I spent the Summer up there working and went to a couple of games so I want them back up, although the ground could do with some more leg room.

Ironically they are sponsored by Easyjet!

haha - I've always found Luton the absolute worse for leg room - nearly impossible for my legs to fit in! Thanks f*** for standing.

I've gone with the "Get Promoted Back Where They Belong" option because:

1. They have a decent derby with Watford.
2. There's some bad feeling with MK Dons too.
3. They carved out their own little piece of history in the 80s, so fair play to them.
4. There's loads of other 'nothing' teams around making up the numbers - Lincoln, Macclesfield, Barnet etc.

1959??

At least we've actually played our "home" games at home for all our history

That is admittely a low blow, but only because I know (and admire) the history of the club and the troubles you had.

We've had a pretty similar (though not identical) situation happen to us as what happened to you and I would be very happy if we recovered in the same way Brighton has.

I'm sure they would. And if they did object, I'd just point them in the direction of attendance figures for the two clubs over the past 40 years or so. Not forgetting the gates they were getting when they were last in the top flight - just over 6,000 once or twice, in fact. MASSIVE club.

Brighton got gates of less than 10,000 when last in the top flight also.

Their gates are about 200 more than ours, but we play at Withdean, the worst place in the world to watch a game, high prices and no pay on the gate.

Even at a ramshackle Goldstone, we'd be getting 10-12,000 now I suspect.

The last time we were promoted from this league at the goldstone (1987-88) we didnt average 11,000.

I know you've said you know its a low blow, but still why the f*** would you bother saying that? Your losing an argument so you go and pull out some petty jealous jibe about us having to travel to Gillingham for 2 years. Your a complete cretin now f*** off this board you tosser.
