.. or there and there abouts according to Radio 5 Live, who have just interviewed the new "non executive" chairman, ex-BBC presenter Nick Owen.

He also gave the indication that the "Luton Sales" are now over, so no more sales for the purposes of pleasing the administrator.

Not sure where that leaves Currie...

( Poor Blackwell, was told by the BBC first - and wasn't too happy about it. )

I used to find Nick Owen really funny. He was toffee-appleishly deadpan, smirking at his own time-filling rhetoric and quizzing on BBC morning's banana-striped sofas with Diamongo.

The take over hasn't happened yet.

Nick Owen's lot are the prefered bidder and have exclusivity until the end of Feb to complete the take over. They gained this status by loaning the administrator some money to get the club through until the take over can be completed.

Meant to stress that more actually, but Owen did make the statement of no more "sales".

... hope Currie wants to come anyway.

The official Luton Town site lists him as being in the starting line up, for whatever that's worth.

Yes, yes he is. Which would suggest that Currie is a no go for us. If we were even close to signing him then I am sure he would not be playing tonight.

Oh well but a real shame

I dunno, with the players they've just lost I'd imagine they'll be putting out the strongest team left available regardless of who might be leaving.
That's like saying Blackwell won't be on the bench cos he's leaving soon

I guess. We can certainly rule out an immediate transfer of him, so we have a little while to speculate, lust and panic.

You couldn't blame Currie for playing at Anfield tonight before signing for us, if that is what he is going to do.
