No gripes on the first banding & guaranteed ticket. The second band-width is an utter disgrace. 374 points here versus one can only presume fans who have been to 2/3 away games this year on 246 mark

Ticket office @ the club in yet another shambles. Quelle surprise.

True. But don't forget they may have been season ticket holders for donkey years which means their points
are deservedly high already.

Go to more games and get in the top tier..... - Fans who have 246 points won't have been people who've been to 2/3 away games this year and had a season ticket for 2 seasons. - the scheme protects against this.

Spurs ticket obtained.
Couldn't nab one for Luton.

I've just got Spurs and Sheffield as required. Hundreds left for both.
Same here - pretty happy with my Tier 1/Tier 2 status in getting these. While Luton would have been nice, the queue (not sure I'm a fan of but I don't feel that strongly about it) reduces it all to a genuine lottery and well done to those whose number came up in queing time, mine delayed me to about 9.03 and a bit - I'm guessing you needed something like 9.01 to have a genuine chance

And we have to remember the Luton game is a genuine one-off (ok pedants B'muff too) - so it's only 2 out of 19 games it's difficult for even the really dedicated fans to get them, it's not the end of the world surely that

I think you're right - Luton is a one-off really.

We've played Bournemouth a lot and most will have been before, often when few others were interested.

Queue position 750 but somehow managed to get an unreserved seating ticket for Luton! Don't really understand the gigantic gap in points between t1 and t2, made today a scramble when it could've easily been 300+ points or something for this bracket

Unfortunately, this fixture and Bournemouth were always going to be a shitfest for getting tickets because of the low away allocation. Having said that I agree with your comment about the ridiculous tier banding. I’m also in the 300+ category and would be extremely miffed if someone on 246 points happened to have timed it right to snaffle the last remaining ticket. :annoyed:

But you're comfortably in tier 1 for Spurs and Sheffield United, as well as many other games over the season. The system has been in place for many years and some will always be just below the cut off and moaning about the system.

One of the gripes previously was that the system was a closed shop, if you look at the wider picture the banding in this instance does give those with fewer points than you an opportunity to get a few more points, given the random queuing.

Still no doubt you bagged 20 points for Spurs and Sheffield Utd to move very close to 400 points.

I'm going to copy @Barry Izbak in here as, when I asked about how the tiers worked, the club said they'd be happy to engage with the FAB to discuss if tiering can be handled better for low-allocation fixtures.

I'm not sure what the answer is, so I won't propose a solution, but there's an opportunity for some dialogue if there's appetite for it.

the point is, someone with 246 points isn't likely to be someone who hasn't made an effort to go to games continually. They will have have either had a season ticket for a minimum of two seasons and done every away game for last 2 years, or they are someone who's had a season ticket for 10 years and done 4 away games..(or somewhere in-between) either way, hardly someone you can claim isn't really a Brighton fan. - The amount of people who complain about the scheme about their entitled ticket requirements is ridiculous - Understand how the scheme works and do your best to get in the top tier....

These constant posts "bashing the scheme" all the time, saying its a farce etc etc are just getting ridiculous IMO.
