Am I imagining things, or is someone moaning about Withdean prices being TOO CHEAP?

Mental, totally ridiculous

Not really, people are quick to moan about the squad being shit and no money to get better players in. There will be a fair amount of interest in this game as it ends up as a day out at Wembley. Why not charge full price and make a few quid. Supply and demand and all that.

Seem to remember reading somewhere that tickets for the competition are capped at £12 anyway.

Might as well have a busy ground, a better atmosphere, to give the best possible chance of a bloody good pay day that a Wembley final would presumably generate!

Like I said, I feel the club makes plenty of money out of me as it is, so regardless of the squad (and I doubt any small profit from a game like this would go back to the team strengthening account anyway), I have absolutely no inclination to give them any more than I have to.

We are mugged as it is, given comparable facilities at virtually every other ground in the Football League.

Well said, if clubs continued to try and squeeze as much money out of us as possible then fans would be driven away. Hopefully get a lot of younger kids with them being free with an adult, be better for the long term as well then.

Quick question for you chps as I'm too smashed to be able to know where to look at the mo.

I'm a STH as are my 2 boys. If I want to bring along my nephews too can I buy tickets for them at the same time as I put in my application as a Gold Card member?

The initial post in the thread with the club's copy'n'paste seems to cover that eventuality Buzzer

The club is aware that some Gold members may want to purchase tickets with family or friends who are not Gold members. These applications will only be accepted during the priority period.

However, in order to accommodate these arrangements Gold members requesting extra tickets may be asked to move into another area of the ground where match tickets are available.

Cheers, THPP. I'll do this on Saturday.

Right. I'm off to shower and carry on drinking and stuff. Gotta love these 24 hour benders

No one would bloody go if it was normal prices.

We'll make more with these prices, undoubtedly.

Sure, but 25000 additional 'fans' will appear out of the woodwork if we make Wembley

I doub't we'll take anymore than 20k to Wembley to be honest. Its a competition that not many people are interested in. It'll probably bring out 15,000 or so glory hunters but cant see many more than that.

Is the right answer. We'll struggle to get 5 thousand even with a tenner entrance fee.

I'll go along with that, money is tight at the moment for many.

I think NSC is seriously underestimating the lure of this match. If we get a good result at Withdean we're well on our way to Wembley and I think we'll get close to a full house for this evening game. In addition, regardless of its stature, the trophy is actually a bit of a looker, almost resembling the Cup Winners Cup, and it would look fab in the Falmer Trophy cabinet.
