Aren't Leicester bigger rivals with Derby than Coventry?
You're right though, a fair few big derby games in the division.
Yeah not sure, I thought Forest were bigger rivals with Derby but their main rival is obviously County
I haven't got the details to hand but there were at least four City v Avenue top-flight derby games.I don't think that the old First Division ever saw a Bradford Park Avenue vs Bradford City derby ?
i went to the play off at wembley against notts county , there were loads of fans in forest shirts there. My understanding is that there isn't a great deal of rivalry between Forest and County. Seems that Forest like to patronise County a bit but not the hatred that Forest seem to hold for Derby.
Mind you, that could probably change if they played each other a bit more regularly.
Actually, this leads to something I've been thinking of lately - is Bristol the only city in England with two (or more) clubs that has never had a top flight derby?
Very poor grammar.Swansea - Cardiff could still be knocking about, although I doubt neither of them won't go up.
A couple of other examples....
Cambridge United v Cambridge City
Oxford United v Oxford City
in what way , don't beat around the bush, say it as you see itBHAFC-Palace
WHU- Millwall
Pompey-Saints
Leeds-Huddersfield
Leicester-Coventry
Could be an interesting year!
