Well?

Closing in on 43 years old, all of which have been spent having nothing to do with Tolkien.

Have I been missing out, or as I've lasted this long is it clearly not for me.

I saw The Hobbit on Friday, if you like LOTR I suggest you watch it. I like them and I think Peter Jackson did a quality job on them.

Give it a try, and I think you'll know within 30 mins if its for you or not. Beautifully shot film, good music too.

To be honest if you are not sure C4 is not the best place to watch them first since the adverts every 20 mins or so will not help. It is long enough as it is. Can get all 3 films in Sainsburys at the moment on Blue-ray for £10.

Yes, Didn't watch them until about a year ago, I now have the boxset!

Takes a while to get into it, but after about an hour you'll soon love it.

Yep, go for it, classic slice and fry escapism. Great as the characters develop, never piss off an Elf. enjoy !

Basketball is worryingly non-contact, get back to LOTR and watch the rise of Strider
