Would you say he's lost it? I've not seen the team since September but even then I really disliked the style and performance.

If he has lost it, he has to go.

Juande Ramos anyone? Look what happened when they got an old head in to steady the ship...

And get rid of Martin Hinshelwood too, go back to an old fashioned style.

How can you be happy with the performance we saw today? We were AWFUL for most of the game, against weak opposition. We had a few good spells, but then I'd expect that at home, wouldnt you? But it was not a 'pretty good performance'.

Well, we clearly deserved to be in front at half time, arguably by more than one. Lost some momentum in the second half, and would have been good to get at least one of the more creative players off the bench earlier. The mindset, obviously, was that it was more important not to lose than to go for the win, and with the game so even, any change would have been a risk. Of course, with a supportive crowd, a manager might think a bit more about taking that attacking gamble.....some people were slagging individual players off even when we were one up. Crap. How that's supposed to help them play with confidence is beyond me...

On balance, I'd say that the performance was ok. If we'd been in the midst of a decent run, it would have been put down to being 'one of those days'. The result was a 'mare, obviously, but it came down to two stupid mistakes in a match in which, otherwise, the team defended really well. As they have in the past two matches... signs of a definite improvement defensively.

The sooner people start accepting that we're going to need to grind out some results to get some confidence back, the better. Just because we've got some attacking players on the bench doesn't mean we'd play like Real Madrid if they were on.. we'd possibly just lose more heavily. A couple of spawny wins would change everything.

Very accurate assessment as I thought that the performance was a vast improvement on recent ones.

Of course we did! We also defended well against MK Dons, except the 4 times they scored past us, we defended well against carlisle, cheltenham, and Hartlepool except the three times in each match they scored...

I guess I am in the minority here but there have been some signs of improvement recently. By the way I am now in the Adams out camp.:

Less hoof ball. Yes we do it if nothing else is on but at least we are trying to keep it on the ground more (as demanded here on NSC). Played some quite good stuff in patches yesterday. Sadly the idea is being undone by the midfield being a bit shit!

Most of the team now seem to have woken up to the idea that they are in for a wacking pay cut next unless they get their asses into gear. And you can see they are genuinely hurting at losing these matches to the late goals.

Defence IS more solid (good displays at Oldham Shrewsbury and Tranmere). But cut out the mistakes. Good to have the Hinch back as he reads the game so well. Scores good OGs too.

Question is: Is it too little too late? I fear so coz the players do not seem to believe. And that is the most worrying thing for Micky
