Another good reason to have voted for Brexit. Hopefully it'll happen as quickly as possible and we can stop these sort of sick *******s from coming to the UK.

Managing borders to protect the British public is not just about preventing Islamic terrorism..........

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...-porczynski-held-indefinitely-secure-hospital

In these days where CEOs of companies can be imprisoned for corporate manslaughter if they do not adequately protect their staff, it's about time this dynamic applied to politicians and civil servants.............then we would get change.

It seems the attacker came from Pakistan, so Brexit would have no bearing on that nationality entering Britain, as Pakistanis have the right to come here due to the Commonwealth.

Quite, we need global solutions to global issues. Supporters of AFD, Front Naitionale and UKIP all sing from the same hymn sheet which delights terrorist groups

Pakistanis can't just waltz.into Britain they don't have the "right" to come here, well not until they gain residency in an EU country , then they can , well.done again Angela.

It is harder now, but many came here by marriage. Resident British Pakistanis go back to arranged marriages.

Is there a large increase of Muslims becoming atheists or non practising Muslims?

This is what has happened in the western world when religions have been immersed in scandals or crimes.

People either lost their faith or walked away from the churches.

Is this a big thing in the Islamic world?

Do you have some evidence of this?

Most research I've read suggest that the large increase in people switching from Christian to non believers is not related to scandals or crimes, but actually due to science.

Not really. You've made a huge assumption there about the supporters of those parties.

And anyway, it could be more strongly argued that the terrorist groups are far more delighted with the actions of Angela Merkel and by the attitude of people such as the writer of that Independent article cited earlier. They must love the fact that so many are willing to bury their heads in the sand regarding the very real terrorist threat in Europe.

When you say "delights terrorist groups", you mean "makes terrorist groups tweet that they are delighted", which is basically their own form of propaganda against these movements.

Think about it. ISI can tweet support for anything and virtually kill its appeal to reasonable voters over here. They know and abuse this power.

Some of you on here won't like this, but Pat Condell sums it up quite succinctly in my opinion.

Sorry but if you're opening line is:-

"Here in Europe we now expect Islamic atrocities, daily"

the rest isn't really worth listening too.

What an odd and out of touch poster you have become.

I suspect most of us are expecting a terrorist attack at any given day.

It is only due to the dilligence of our security services that terrorist attacks dont happen on a daily basis.

Yep, let's just blame someone else. These two parties you mention are not in power and did not decide to go into countries. If you must clutch at straws then at least point the finger at those that could be blamed.

Daily basis?
Are you really sure, you wake up everyday and EXPECT a terrorist attack?

There will be attacks, there always has been, most have been terrorists pushing their political or religious ideologies.

But to expect attacks daily?

I wonder how Pat Condell would react to his middle eastern counterpart beginning his statement to the world:-

"Here in the middle east we now expect western atrocities, daily".

Islam is far right.

So the dislike of Islam is really a dislike of far right religious ideology. Is it not?

Your question is pointless because your first statement is a massive over simplification. Unless you think that Sufism and Wahhabism are exactly the same thing.
