Any change of views on O'Neill after last night?
O'Neill will be a disaster. Did well at plucky, but was very much in his "comfort zone" there, already known and liked by the players. He will not wield much influence at Wolves, which is primarily why Lopetegui jacked it in when he wasn't getting what he wanted in terms of a budget. The owner gets a grateful 'happy to be there' yes-man in the dugout, the players get a 'Gary who ??'.
Wolves bang in trouble.
Anyone can be wise halfway through the season!
Good point. Pre game I was pleased that Hwang, Gomes, AitNouri were out. But the reality is that that gives them an excuse to be uberdefensive, whereas if their first choice are playing the game will be more openIt would have been a better game if Hwang was playing probably would have opened up a bit more.
Stat earlier on SSN, they're second in recent PL form table, only behind LiverpoolI thought he got the game plan bang on. It could have gone either way. Not convinced he’ll do much better at Wolves and not sure he has a unique approach, but seems solid.
Yeah but it takes a real twat, like me, to be proud about it.Anyone can be wise halfway through the season!
Thought they were really good. Fair play to him.
Don't think they were uberdefensive at all.But the reality is that that gives them an excuse to be uberdefensive,
Have to disagree, when we had the ball they didn't just have their whole team in their half, they were all in their half of their own half.Don't think they were uberdefensive at all.
Yes, they defended well, but pressed high up the pitch too and broke with pace and purpose.
They had a shot on target in the fiirst minute!
Uberdefensive I'll reserve for West Ham, Sheffield Utd and Fulham.
