Sadly it was this debacle:whistle::-

"On New Years Day 2007, Bournemouth beat Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0 with an amusing goal from Brett Pitman in the 90th minute. As the Brighton goalkeeper Wayne Henderson controlled the ball just to the left of his 6 yard box he took a step back to clear the ball as Pitman chased the ball down. Unfortunately for Henderson, he slipped on the floor, Pitman got the loose ball, took it around two defenders and smashed it into the back of the net at the North Stand end. Henderson has since left Brighton."http://www.360football.co.uk/Bournemouth

Living in Dorset and being a bad supporter I hope to see both home/away fixtures again. I plan to travel up with some mates who are Cherries season ticket holders - Seagulls end for me of course (if I can get a ticket), and with good fortune I can be the one smiling this time on the journey home.

I live in North Wales. Got to about 15 games last year. I have bought a season ticket for next season despite 600 mile round trip!

Ipswich at home, May 2005, when a draw saw us avoid relegation. Couldn't see what the fuss about lack of atmosphere at Withdean was all about (not true, I had been before). Went on my one and only Fying Squad visit, although Nottingham this year may be too good to miss. Will be in the country for the Swindon game this year, may have to venture down to Wiltshire. Also intend to be at the first 'real' game at Falmer - have been a supporter for 40+ years although have lived in the US for the past 18 - should I feel guilty in case I deprive someone of a ticket?

Usually manage about a dozen games a year. Away at Huddersfield was a treat this season. Got a season ticket this year so I'll be getting to see a lot more of them.

Hartlepool away was my last. Usually get to see about 10 games per season. Never been to Withdean but lots at Goldstone. Will be going to Falmer next season - in the Championship?

It was a few years ago (never was very good at time), i think it was chesterfield at Withdean. I took my Australian wife and it pissed down all game (and i mean pissed down). We had fun abusing Brian Laws though.

Anyone care to give me the year?

Since moving out here five years ago, I've made sure I've been to at least one game a season.

Last game - 5-2 win at Wycombe!

Had to manage in many different ways over the years.

Including:

$3 a minute results service that used to be available here in the 80's-90's, quiet costly being an Albion fan and having to wait for the result if we were in a lower division.

A member of Seagulls Down Under. Run by a really nice guy (forget his name) who'd get a friend in Brighton to send him over clippings of matches from the Argus and he'd photo copy them and post em out to the few members we had.

That was around the time of th Nogan era.

Soccer Weekly was a publication here that would have small game reports on even lower league teams which was something to read and keep up with the tables,

Then fortunately the Internet came along and it made following the team so much easier.

I'm planning on getting to my first game some time in the next 5 years!

Fair play, that must be pretty unique story for an Albion fan, respect for keeping it going all these years

Normally manage to see at least one home game a year – last one was the Yeovil game at home.

Live in Oz - sunshine coast. Last game was v Man City (the penalty win not the ballboy throwing the ball back into the crowd one!) Next games are Dec 28th v Charlton and then New Years Day v Orient and also an emotional drive to Falmer at a date tba - cannot wait!!! Best Albion related thing since moving here was the game v Southampton shown on Fox Sports. Great telebox entertainment. :amex:

Came back last year for a couple of weeks, so on 13th Oct 2009 at the Withdean saw Brighton beat Gillingham 2-0 it was fffffffffffffffreezing.

Last time i visited the UK from Australia, October 2008 coincided with our trip to Elland Road....

" Leeds 3-1 Brighton
Two goals just before half-time helped move Leeds to third in the table, inflicting a first away defeat of the season on Brighton in the process.

Luciano Becchio got the first, firing home from eight yards at the second attempt, before Jermaine Beckford headed in Fabian Delph's cross.

Beckford added a third in injury time, calmly finishing with Delph again providing the assist.

Glenn Murray got a late consolation from 12 yards for Brighton"

Happy days, nonetheless....
