Am i right in thinking the quickest way of getting there from Brighton is to get to Kings Cross Thameslink and walk?

Very much so yes, turn left out of KC Thameslink and proceed east. You;ll soon see Kings Cross on your right and St Pancs is just past it also on the right.

Hmm, depends when you're going - the Victoria line is a very fast route across town, so a quick train there might actually be fairly close in time to getting the pissawful Thameslink (I know they're not called that but who gives a f*** - they're still shit) which a) crawl through the bit around London Bridge like they're being pushed by GNOMES and b) are far less reliable than Southern trains. If you have baggage, you might prefer just to sit and wait on the ThamesSTINK

They share a tube station - St Pancras is a big, gothic one which they're extending for the Eurostar and where they filmed the Spice Girls Wannabe video, no less. Kings Cross isn't but it's in Harry Potter. :trainspotter:

What's his emotional frame of mind got to do with any of this?

I know for a FACT, you get plenty of tranquility which is perfect for for transcendental meditation as the train crawls between City Thameslink and Farringdon. Might help him to get his HEAD together, man.

Tranquility? Not sure how when you're usually squashed to all smithereens by a fat arsed, pin striped suited, luncheon pint breathing broadsheet reading baffoon, and someone with 10 suitcases heading to Gatwick...

oh and did i mention the smell?? :nono:

And the 4-story temporary offices behind the station, where the CTRL guys who are building it work, is the largest portakabin in Europe, fact fans.
