So it was mentioned last time that Sports Cafe might not be the best place to go for Palace, 2 other suggestions were the Walkabout at Enbankment or the Walkabout nr Leicester square.

Any suggestions...?

Just bounced the old thread, but glad to see someone else is on the case too..

personally, have to say i like the Sports cafe - You just know that others will eventually turn up in numbers and it's always been good atmos too..
BUT am happy to go with Walkabout in Embankment, as (Sim pointed out) the manager was dead keen to get us in and look after us..

btw. someone else also mentioned that S.C might not show the game anyway...

i'm a wallflower at these things but i do like to see these games alongside my albion brethren.

the Sports Cafe has a remarkably solid record for being pony but i thought it plumbed new depths of shitness for the Owls game. the music, the transvestite bar staff and so forth...not that the Wankabout is anything to write home about but at least they charge sensible prices for the shit beer, plus there may be some fit antipodian flange to pester at half time.

I'm going to have to duck out of central london festivities in favour of The Royal Oak in Chingford as it is a mere 50 yards from my doorstep, and the need to drive later in the day...

I'm going to Famous 3 Kings next to West Kensigton Tube station, mainly because i'm going to twickenham on saturday and will have a massive hangover and f3k is only a few minutes down the road. It is also a great sports pub.

I think y'all need to stop being such utter PUSSIES and find out where all the Palace fans that aren't coming to smahs Brighton up are drinking and take over their pub.

Or are you scared?

But, we do that every summer. ;)

Used to work for Waltham Forest Council at Chingford on the Ridgeway. So I have frequented the said establishment many a time on a Friday, including having a leaving party there.
