Trish was reminiscing about a pub somewhere in the Liverpool Street area. She thinks it was called the Dickens or something to do with Charles Dickens. No doubt it got knocked down in the redevelopment but does anyone know the place she is on about?????

There is the Dirty Dicks on Bishopgate which is right outside the station. Haven't been over that way for a while but still there as far as I'm aware.

Thanks Arthur. Sadly, it's closed on a Sunday according to PUBS.COM Pub Guide.

:thud:

So, does anyone know a good, traditional style London boozer which will be open next Sunday and hopefully serving food?!

I think you'll find allot of the boozers round that way will be shut on a Sunday. The Treverspoons opposite will be open though!! :shootself

Your best bet might be Spitalfields through the other side of the market. I've certainly had a drink round there on a Sunday.

Or get a taxi to Borough Market and go in the Market Porter........
