Let’s get numbers and I’ll see what we can book. I have a car, can probably take 4 or 5 if it’s out of the centre of Marseille

Are you staying in Avignon? We too.
Yes. With the police having notionally banned us from the tourist parts of Marseille I thought Avignon might be a nice place to spend a couple of days. Loved it (and to keep vaguely on topic for the thread, ate & drank very well). Would recommend.

I’m in half a mind to go look for a decent bouillabaisse (seafood stew) tomorrow lunchtime before heading off to the match

If it’s a proper one with rascasse (scorpionfish) probs 100 Euros plus wine. Anyone else have my eccentric tastes?

Edited to add: I’m ashamed to admit that I speak fluent French in case anyone is nervous about ordering…

I'm in.
You name the place and i'll see you there.
I had considered a Sole meuniere and a white Burgundy but now you have my mouth watering.

I went to Chez Michel for my bouillabaisse lunch. Very old school and very good.

I’m here. Did you book as they only have a table for 2

Yes, outside. Booked for 12:30
Well, COME ON....

What was it like!?

Pre-match moules went down a treat. I had considered going all out and doing a bouillabaisse but seemed a bit labour intensive for a Thursday afternoon.
