It's amazing just how many people have enjoyed someone else's misery!.........there again there is such a thing as Karma......I very much remember in late 2007 early 2008 when I got made redundant.......someone I know on here (not in real life thank ****!!!) took some extremely cheap stabs at me for being unemployed for a while.............yesterdays Withdean result was extremely sweet for me.......

Have you now banned him, he’s been quiet for the past few days

:lolol:

As long as I live, posts like this will always make me chuckle.

As I am aware, some of these people commenting on him, have actually met him in the real world and are still disliking the man!! I have met many people from here (he is not one of them!!) and everyone I have met have been great people, even a few I have had NSC issues with but we still had a pint and a chat together and left things in the cyber world, clearly this unliked local (ex) politician can't seem to do the same

I have never met the man either and as such I offer no opinion on him or his activities, Hiney’s post just made me chuckle.

There once was a Tory named Tim
Whose view on cyclists was dim
He got an erection
and stood for election
But Green put him in to the bin

*bows*

Thinking contemporary football songs...

WITHDEAN ! .... and you f**ked it up...

I think the referendum and the subsequent General Election shows that decisions should be put squarely in the hands of the electorate as little as is practically possible.
Well, I wouldn't disagree. Being as democratic as possible isn't a recipe for stability.

Voting should be mandatory, the general populous couldn't believe that anyone would be stupid enough to leave the EU and so really didn't turn out... now they've realised that sitting on their laurels when voting time comes around means the ill informed and easily led will change the direction of a country. Finally people are realising what a disaster this will be for the UK and making a stand..I just hope its not too late...Sadly these local elections do nothing except be indicative...

Doing some historical research here. Can someone tell me when the The County Borough of Brighton elections were held in the 1960s ?

..................finally the major parties are being given the message that the public is fed up with them fannying around and not delivering Brexit, costing them thousands of seats. Sadly, they're too thick (like some would be pundits) to get the message. Protest votes (safe protest votes - the parties voted for are nonentities and will never achieve anything) have been the order of the day. I mean, the likelihood of the Lib Dems ever running anything other than the odd isolated local council - come on! Pull the other one!

So your interpretation of the result is exactly the same as that wonderful political leader Theresa May :lolol:

So all the Lib Dem’s ( who are the only party staking a claim to remain) taking votes off the Tories convinces May she is right about Brexit :)

The Lib-dems have run my local council (Eastleigh) for years, and done it fairly well. They run a bit more than the odd isolated council.

And the biggest winners on the day by a considerable distance were the Lib-Dems, with the Greens - another pro-europe party doing well. UKIP did feebly.

And that us sending a message that the public is fed up with BREXIT not being delivered. I'm afraid I do not follow your logic.
