Ah yes, that well known NSC trope - 'send him to CH at Nottingham Forest'!

Molumby had a stellar season in the Championship, not wanted by Potter - send him to CH at Nottingham Forest.
X,Y or Z needs a loan to the Championship - could go to CH at Nottingham Forest.
A couple of weeks ago NSC had packed Duffy's bags for him and were getting ready to drive him to ..........
Now we've got a player we don't want and can't even give away - what can we do? Ah,yes, of course, the answer is staring us in the face - send him to ........ !
Walton next up?

The difference here is Hughton himself oversaw the purchase of Locadia for £15 million. Locadia is HIS man.

If he was willing to pay £15 mill 3 years ago for the bloke then why wouldn't Hughton take a look at him now when he is available for nothing, when Forest can't buy a goal and are bottom of the table.

We had a recruiting team then, as now. They recruited him - Locadia isn't HIS man and Hughton has no legal or moral obligation to do us a big favour. There's no 'nothing' where Locadia is concerned either - Forest can't afford his wages, and there's no evidence he'd be any good in the Championship either; struggling team, defence minded - set pieces best hope, can't head ............ yeh, it's looking like a perfect fit!
But hey, it's the NSC way! Not wanted here? - send him to .............

Don't think it's the same people though. And pretty sure they use a very different methodology.

No it isn't - but it was still a recruitment team doing the recruiting, not the manager. I know the club has always stressed that the manager has the final say - but that would still technically be true if the recruitment team said, 'We've found you a striker. Now you've got the final say - do you want this striker or no striker?'

I like your thinking here, Walton to.... Is it Forest?
As for Locadia, just a wild guess, but i would imagine Hughton is looking for improvement over the coming weeks..... That rules out Locadia imho.
Up there with Richard Tiltman and Mark Farrington.

The bloke went to Hoffenheim and scored 4 in 12 with an assist, so he's scored in the English, Dutch and German top flight and would cost nothing. I daresay the Albion will be prepared to pay off his contract, so wages may be manageable. Yes, the Cincinnati move has been a disaster but then everyone else at that club was shit, they finished bottom of the league and their top scorer only got 3 goals. Manager Jaap Stam was clearly their 'Sami Hyypia moment'.

No need for the facepalm - it's your opinion against mine with nobody right or wrong.

The DJ is now looking likely to be our 4th striker.

I hope he spins a decent tune.

Were there rumours that Locadia might be off to Turkey?

The Turkish window closes on Wednesday (along with the Czech one). It’s pretty much Israel or Serbia after than if big Jürg fails to get his move.

Russia is open another day or so, that could be an option.

I'm going to withhold judgement.

If he stays with us, I don't have a problem with him being in the squad.
I don't see how buying him out of his contract does us any good.

If he stays, I hope to see him given a run out in the Carabao, then we can see whether he is as shit as everyone seems to think he is.

Fiveways
... because?

... because many on here need a boo boy and, especially due to his off-field antics, Connolly is fitting that bill perfectly now. It's got diddly squat to do with his footballing ability. They want to bin off a 20yo striker, with five PL goals to his name, who has great pace, channel-running and movement, who came through our academy, and is a regular international starter.

Both are not going to make it IMHO. Obviously, the naughty leprechaun has a better chance
