I have to work this weekend in Livingstone, Friday through to Sunday morning:down:

Anyone ever been there and is there any decent boozers or things to do on an evening?

Cheers

There are a couple of Boozers called the 'Tight Scottish Bastard and the William Wallace was a W*nker. I suggest you ask the locals for directions.

Livingston is a modern town don't expect any decent pubs, head to Linlithgow or Edinburgh for a decent pint...

And if your the original DTG, faither of BAG then pop over to Stirling and I'll buy you a pint for ole times sake

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Dave, just do yourself a favour and get the train into Edinburgh, then you will have a choice of some of the best drinking establishments in Europe. T'will take abot 20 mins or so and they run quite late.

The Worlds End Pub on the Royal Mile is my favourite because a serial killer used to drink there and pick up his victims, its also a decent boozer.

Way out west
Definitely go to Edinburgh, there are more pubs there than you could visit in a year, let alone a long weekend. Avoid the new town unless you like ponces talking about rugby, Cowgate and Grassmarket are ok, George Street is upmarket chain pubs, Rose Street has about anything you want, try to avoid Lothian Road...Berts Bar in William Street was my personal favourite.
