Calm down, calm down.. Look, the result was far better than many here thought. It's only one game,and even though we weren't at our best, we still made them sweat right up until the final whistle.

Can't be too disappointed with that. Would have liked to have seen subs much earlier than we did. And I think we could have had an equalizer - we seemed to be a bit unsure collectively as to whether we were going for the draw, or sticking with a 2-1 loss. Either way, a good away performance given the players we're missing.

The Liverpool winner was a beautiful goal, I assume you mean the equaliser. I mean yeah, that was a bit unfortunate, but if they’d taken any of their much better chances we still would’ve lost comfortably.

Thought we did well against an excellent team.

Mac was world class today.

Very good performance against a very good side. Boy do I miss MacAllister. Caicedo I could take or leave but always thought Ali Mac had something more.

No new obvious injuries, looked better going forward and some very good defending (bar Veltman’s slice and the space for Salah).

A respectable performance from Brighton, beaten by the better team.
Mac Allister, Diaz and Salah were too good for us.
Nothing to be angry about.
Disappointed, but overall a decent showing.

Even that was a great game of football. Sometimes you just have to say the opposition were too good.

How I’ve felt. Don’t like losing but we went down fighting. Anfield crowd knew how big that was too. Great game of football.

20 fouls to 6, they were certainly told to have a real go at us. We conducted ourselves pretty good.

Given we are still down with injuries etc I thought we did ok and 2-1 is respectable enough.

I find it hard to say we did well though, or that players were having their best games etc (except maybe Bart) we offered little going forward after our goal, we gave up possession too easily and were pushed back by them most of the game. Mac ran the game for them and Kelleher had almost nothing to do.

Alexis was quality. Has anyone seen a replay of his studs up challenge on Baleba? Looked naughty to me. In fact Gomez got away with second yellow too.

That said the best team won.

Positives
1. Baleba looked brilliant.
2. Moder fit
3. Bart has to stay as number 1
4. Dunk and JPVH were very good and each had moments of sensational skill in a tight spot. Flairy.

Negatives
1. Estu had a shocker.
2. Lamptey is normal speed now.
3. Lalana was brought on rather than Fati.
4. Facundo on the right is stupid.

BHA do really play some great stuff and always seem to save it for the Reds. I thought it had 2-2 all over it at the end and what a save by Verbruggen! Good result for the PL race and plenty to go for for Brighton. I thought it was a great game but too much for my old heart.

I thought we played ok. Liverpool are a very good side. Bart played well. On to the next game.

This team we played could be the champions. We really competed. Also Baleba's best game for us.
Disappointed to lose but the commentary was very positive.
