Can I just highlight how disappointing the Liverpool ticket arrangements are? I fully appreciate the need to reward loyalty, and I'm certainly not griping about only having 70 points, but it's the actual sale dates that are both unfair and prohibitive.
If I understand the announcement correctly, those people with less than 100 points will have to wait until 5pm on Monday 13th Feb to try to purchase tickets. In the unlikely event that I manage to get a ticket (i'm sure the majority will have gone by then), this is less than a week until the match - therefore ensuring that we would have to pay the premium prices for public transport.
So - we're left with two choices. Either we wait until Monday night, and pay upwards of £100 for a train ticket to the match, or buy travel in advance and take the risk that we will get a ticket (thereby increasing the amount of ticketless fans arriving in Liverpool).
Would it not have been possible to bring the sale dates forward by two days, or combine two of the higher banded sale periods, so that we could have at least benefitted from the week's advance purchase travel? It really seems that by setting these dates, the club have not considered the travel needs of fans at all.
