Congratulations, I was wondering how many replies it would take before someone chipped-in this with "hilarious" comment and it turns-out it was only 3.

How those fans were treated that night and the lies that the authorities told to cover-up their ineptitude is disgusting. And if this law-suit means that when we get to play in Europe we are more likely to treated correctly then it has to be a good thing.

Part of the reason why Liverpool were treated the way they were is because of how they behaved in the 80s. Same as England fans takes a very long time to shake off a reputation.

That's a pretty inflammatory oversimplification. I seem to recall an incident in the 80s that involved dreadful policing, lying by the authorities and a large-scale cover up that stained the reputation of Liverpool fans because of a shameful campaign run by elements of our national media to paint the fans as the perpetrators rather than the victims?

England fans have been and continue to be complete thugs abroad. Liverpool fans, far less so.

Shouldn't they be suing the French police, they were the ones that managed the 'security'? Unless Uefa were the ones to sign-off on the arrangements

I am glad that my family didn't treat my German Uncle and his wonderful family badly in the 70's simply because Germany did a lot of bad things 25 years before in the war.

I am glad that my family didn't treat my German Uncle and his wonderful family badly in the 70's simply because Germany did a lot of bad things 25 years before in the war.

I’m not saying it’s right. But it’s a fact, or at least part of the thinking.
