Oh look, another big game where Lionel Messi didn't turn up.

Greatest player of his generation, y'know.
A bit harsh considering his goal scoring record against England's big 6. Only 3 players have scored more and he hasn't even played a single league game here!

He wasn’t allowed to play, but when he got the ball he was still quality

fair play to their fans too- they get a lot of grief, rightfully at times, but that was insane and intense noise. The Nou Camp just never gets like that, nor any games in Spain- top, top players pissing their panties.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

The sheer beauty and passion of football.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
If you are first you are first. If you are second you are nothing.
A lot of football success is in the mind. You must believe you are the best and then make sure that you are.

The most unbelievable game I think I have ever seen. I have so many superlatives for Liverpool. Incredible. Proud to be English.

They’re Scouse not English by their own declaration.

Klopp is very, very, very good manager, I like him. He has built and coached a very, very, very good football team. I just wish they were called something else and based somewhere else.

Incredible game!!

Jordan Henderson, wow, what a powerhouse performance! Playing further forward has been the best thing to happen to his career. What a captain.

And I mean this in a positive way, I really hope our centre midfielders watched the way the Liverpool centre midfield played closely tonight, they were magnificent and totaly controlled the game. Henderson, Fabinho, Milner and Wijnaldum were incredible. None of them are the quickest yet their power, pressing, touch, passing and intelligence in knowing when to go forward or drop in was an exhibition in how to play the position.
