Going to Great Escape too, and am eager for recommendations as the line up is bewildering!

A couple that I've listened to and enjoyed so far, though, are Lord Huron and On An On. Beach Fossils and Phosphorescent are decent as well, though they may not be much of a recommendation as they are reasonably well known!

Going to watch Loudon Wainwright at The Dome tonight.
Pretty chilled out for a Sunday night.

Can't believe it's The Great Escape festival in a couple of weeks...it seems to have come round well quick!

I can't wait for this. Not familiar with many of the bands playing but there are decent recommendations on a separate thread.

In Brighton -

Flaming Lips tomorrow.
Liars at the Haunt
Japandroids at the Haunt
Modest Mouse at Concorde 2

Also planning to add Mission of Burma to the list.

Elsewhere I've got Springsteen, Neil Young and James Blake, with plenty more I'd like to add.

Border country.East Preston.
Public Service Broadcasting tonight at the Vault in East St were something i've been waiting for since Spitfire was released. Well worth the measly £10 if you like sample based post-rock electronica, with a war theme. A fresh sound with a difference

What is the new album like? I have the war e.p with Spitfire on it. Is it similar?
I would have gone to see them last night but it was sold out. Saw them as support to British Sea Power at The Haunt last year and really enjoyed their stuff.

Going to ATP curated by Deerhunter in June. That's about it at the moment.

Breeders, Dan Deacon, No Age and Panda Bear also announced

Looking forward to this immensely, Cryptograms & Microcastle Deerhunter shows in particular. I haven't seen No Age for a number of years as well, their Audio show in 2010 (possibly 2011) ranks as one of my favourite & loudest shows I've ever seen.

I'm also wearing a No Age T-Shirt today!

Is anyone going to have a look at the FREE Nice Weather For Airstrikes festival this weekend?

Always a good crack if you like your post/math rock.

Going to see Rush in Berlin next week. I last saw them in the Brighton Centre in about 1984!

The Rush chit-chat on the "metal" thread has stoked my interest in this gig. I've seen them before twice at Wembley but this was back in the Hold Your Fire period. Isn't it the week after next?
