Sorry for Walton. I'm in the Sanchez court and maybe it will open a door for him. If you're good enough, you're old enough. But massive sympathy for Walton. He's waited years for a sniff of first team action. Hope it's not as bad as it sounds.

We need 2500 fans every week, much more atmosphere.

As long as one of them doesn't shout 'Let Connolly take it' again next time someone else is lining up a penalty....

I'd take the same result now! (although it would be nice to beat Chelsea in the league just once).

You have to say, that first half team with Silva, Chillwell, possibly Havertz etc is frightening.

He's very much in the Stephens mould (with a bit more energy), so you fear the boy boys, but what he does he does excellently. Very neat, very mobile, competitive, good passer, calm on the ball.

And from what I've seen of him at Millwall he's got bite as well and presence on the pitch, also not afraid to tell others what to do.

Looked good

Exactly, we played Chelsea and didn’t look too shabby. They were trying against us too, not going through the motions. Not many better teams in this division either.

Draw is a good/the best result. Stay grounded, work and improvement still but thoroughly impressed. No one looked hugely out of place in the side either [emoji1303]

I have to say fitness levels do look good, Ritchie Reynolds may need to stick a few more shifts in though.

But a great one. These are halcyon days and it may get much worse before it ever gets better, so best enjoy it

My comment was a tongue-in-cheek response to the post I quoted.

At the moment I’m brimming with excitement about season 2 with Potterball.

This is a good point. I felt the same when we returned after the shutdown... which injuries aside was the longest layoff any of the players had ever had.

Only watched second half and remembering it's only a friendly but good to see some of the fringe players quite an enjoyable game shame about Walton

Good workout for all concerned. Lots of pluses. Obviously the injury to Walton a real sickener. Poor Walton hope not as bad as it looked.
