Brighton / Hove actually
No...but this ineptitude is unacceptable. They wanted it more than us. It may not be a priority but these players should be hanging their heads in shame.

Of course they wanted it more than us. We did use a back five that rarely play together and it fell apart after Maenpaa went off badly injured. After that it became a chore not a game of football. It must affect players concentration if a team mate goes off like that. I wouldn't read anything into this game but apart from Maenpaa it's a blessing.

This is what concerns me, do our boys not want to be part of the exciting run in??? Perhaps they want to sit on the bench watching, or worse still they do not believe Chris will play them even if they do have a cracker.

The back four had a small excuse in that that combination would have played little football together as a unit, midfielders and forwards have no such excuse.

Hunemeier looked rattled by physicality of Lincoln, full backs looked way out of their depth all afternoon.

Hopefully we don't see many of those being forced into big games towards the business end of the season.

Hune looked good at the start of the season but I wonder if hughton thought he and Goldson weren't strong enough last season. Hence the singing of the Irish animal

We are seeing the usual knee jerk reactions on here l see. It was one game, ONE game, and in a competition many of us didn't want to progress in anyway. The league has to be our priority.

I see Newcastle went down at Oxford today too. I don't imagine they are too upset either.

These things have happened in The FA Cup for as long as i have been alive.
You go to these places, with poor pitches, very vocal cup final crowd, the type of football they play, and if you play a weakened side, albeit still a surprisingly strong side and you give them a chance with a penalty and an OG and then have the poor luck with your goalie, then chances are you are going to lose.
If it was not for those 3 things everyone knows we would have wiped Lincolns arse. Is football, is FA Cup football.

I'm bit embarassed if I'm honest.
This - it hurts when we lose, I don't mind if we played well and lost but we played very poorly and lost. I don't think many of the players today will be in the 1st team unless injuries happen. Back four were very poor 2nd half, it was like rabbits in headlights. Poor passing and plenty of mistakes let us down. Yes its only the B team but we were poor. Winning breeds confidence and we didn't want to win enough against a non-league side.

Our second string (mostly) didn't really turn up with their game this afternoon. It isn't a disaster, just a little embarrassing. Lincoln wanted it more and thoroughly deserved the victory. I wish them well for the next round and hope they get one of the big players away in the Prem to swell their coffers and have the greatest day out in their lives.

As for us, it's back to the real business with no distractions. I'm pretty grateful for that (but would have preferred to have lost to a league side today).

I think all the bedwetting and negatively aimed at our squad is more embarrassing than the result to be honest.

We know all the first team starters / fringe players who played today are more than capable of Championship standard based on what they have achieved in the last season and a half. One dodgy result away from home against a team playing like it was their cup final doesn't change that.

Exactly, how i saw it, frankly it was pathetic and weak, what on earth did Chris say to them at half time???

This stream I'm watching just flashed up Tomori's stats for the game. Hilarious. 0 tackles made, 0 tackles won. In fact everything was a zero (didn't have a goals column).

Not exactly a dream debut and very concerning if this is our depth solution for our RB's. I was perplexed when we signed youth over experience for this position at this stage of the season in truth.

Own goals don't usually bother me as it's part and parcel of defending but the manner and unprofessionalism of his own goal today was shocking. Perhaps partly down to CA and a communication problem but even still, with hardly any pressure to play that back to no one in the middle of the goal, from 6 yards out. Criminal. I sympathise with him. Must be feeling a little foolish now. Hopefully he'll live and learn.

Some aren't boik. Not worried about the 2 young fullbacks but the centre backs have been crap and Skalak and Norwood are just reinforcing what I have been thinking for a while now. ( I do think There is a player in Norwood somewhere though)

What a load of garbage Norwood has been very decent in the league.
