I never believed Sid and I dont believe this JCL thread. No proof offered by OP. Nothing to see here.
Agreed. I'm sure the club would have written a letter outlining why he is banned and the length.

I think this is a poorly communicated thread which is unlikely to do any good. OP's intentions are good but most of the replies are simply trying to qualify what this was all about which means it's not exactly off to the best start! I'm guessing the victim's friends and family welcome support but probably needs a bit more than a NSC rant - those in the know understand the senior mgt dislikes this website. It is full of **** half the time after all and causes no end of problems for them. So you can see why anything NSC-based will be dismissed out of hand by anyone who cares to listen at the club in all probability. Can't say I blame them as "Sid-gate" proved...

A very difficult one really, if he only said that, then it is very harsh. But being a corporate area, one has to stay quiet when opposite fans are being dickheads.
It wasn't sold as a corporate area. I am most definately not corporate. It was sold as a premium area for long sufferring fans to enjoy watching their club in a modern stadium, and treat themselves after 12+ years of shit facilities. The west stand is a home stand. If you are guests of the away team, you have your area. If you are fans of the away team, you also have your area - its called the South stand. If you choose to go in the home end - if you score, you shut the f*** up, or get kicked out.

You do not turn on your own fans / bread and butter. Refusal to talk to the guy is soooo petty. Come on Albion, once again, do the right thing!

There was an 'incident'.

Not all the facts have been presented.

Let's just wait until the whole thing is over before damning please.

Prey tell us Bozza, what do you know...(for the record, I thought the club's position on the matter is that it IS all over (without recourse); hence why it's got everyone up in arms!)

Maybe things have progressed since I heard about this then - apologies if that is the case.

I'm not saying anything else - it's really not my place.

No need to apologise Bozza, given your position we wouldn't want or expect you to declare. This isn't an Archer-Bellotti situation, just one where the club needs to put right an apparent wrong. I'm curious why no one in any authority at the club will enter into dialogue with the victim amongst other valid questions. I guess we'll all watch (and support if necessary) this fan's experience with growing interest.

I'll take your word for it. I remember you telling Ninja Elephant that you single handedly saved the club for his generation, so presumably this is another one of your campaigns we should also pay homage to.

Blimey, grudge bearing or what? Sure you're not Ninja ELEPHANT given your capacity to carry on grudging YEARS later? I'm pretty sure I didn't say that, it would have been meant in the context that some of our younger fans should remember that a lot of older fans did their bit in the war years so a little respect now and again wouldn't go amiss when criticising whatever it was (a long time ago) we older fans might have had the audacity to get emotional about. Or to that effect. Christ, I can see where you're going with this now. You're going to pick this post apart now aren't you?! Do us all a favour, don't - you get the general sentiment behind it.

Now back to this thread's topic please....

Sadly, I have a short term memory like a sieve and a long term memory akin to an elephants.

I took issue to your labelling NSC as being 49/50% *****. There are a minority that are hell bent on causing problems. Recently and most noticeably the multiple accounts that were trying to (and succesfully) winding up the NSK.

Any sort of establishment is going to dislike a public forum that airs raises concerns, complaints and what-have-you (for all to see), when it is easier to send a signed photograph of a player to placate an angry parent.

I would have thought that the support shown in the BODS/disabled issue would have shown you that NSC should not be just labelled as being 50% *****. C'est la vie.

On topic - I find it hard to believe that a person would be banned for merely suggesting an opposing fan should quieten down. If that is the case, then I would happily withdraw my current support for the team, financially speaking.

Two scenarios:-

1. Someone has had a bet to see whether they can get the NSC community (or at least the more gullible sections) to fall for the same trick twice.
2. The event did indeed happen but there is far more to it than the individual just asking the palace fan to sit down and show respect!!!!!!!!

Ever seen the film Passport to Pimlico? Well its a bit like the 1901 Club. It's a different type of Albion experience. The club don't want any type of thuggery, bad language or intimidation in there.

Now you can bring a guest along to the 1901 club if you have sufficent seats and you can also give your seat to someone else to use if you wish. So opposing fans who may be colleagues or friends of Albion fans are likely to attend.

From recollection, IF this was the guy I heard remonstrate with a Palace he said ' f*** you f*** off you ****. You fuckin shit **** Palace twat.(or words very similar) To which the Albion fan he was with had a go back but also asked his mate to calm down. The incident was probably noted although the language probably not heard by a 1901 offical.

You cannot use that type of language at the Albion nowadays, the club no longer NEED you support 1000's of others are ready to take your place that is just the way it is I'm afraid.

It's not (1) in this case.

I'm pretty sure you DID say that to Ninja Elephant:

Please, you're a kid. You don't have anywhere near the history I and many others have with this club.

..You're only able to support the club and come on here and mouth off because of fans like me, who's support for this club you're not even fit to give a blowjob. I don't care for your clearasil comments in the slightest - "we were there", whilst you were in an incubator. Shame it wasn't switched off.....

HB&B - i'd say that goes for the entire stadium now too. We fans need to tone it down because what was tolerated in the past clearly won't be tolerated now. Even raising your tone of voice can be deemed aggressive and result in banning orders. It's your word against theirs and in the heat of the moment, if you even mutter something under your breath it may well lead to a ban. One thing's for sure, a fans word carries no weight (especially if you've had a sip of alcohol because you'll be labelled a drunk) because as you say, there's a waiting list for your seat so the club can afford to chuck people out regardless. Club are clearly cracking down on any supporter dissent and given the pitch invasions, even the streaker incident, all the stewards will be have been told to display a zero zero tolerance in the face of anything remotely deemed unacceptable behaviour more than ever because the Albion has the luxury, for the first time ever, of picking who it wants as supporters. Which is why those of us who have been going through thin and thin might get caught out, what was tolerated in the past clearly isn't now. Back chat, difference of opinion, you name it, it could lead to serious ramifications if you get an official on a bad day it seems. My advice, keep you head down, sit down and wave those little flags we've been provided with I say!

Brilliant comments, I love the clearasil one, you can always get a young 'un with that one and it still rackles with you evidently. Spots are always a sore subject for teenagers. That and virginity! I knew someone would spend half an hour trawling the archives to yet again quote out of context. Blimey, I really rattled some of you kids cages with that one. Still, as I said, back in your incubator and remember, we woz there and we stood up and said NO! (to quote Attila) Lucky for you eh?!
