Yes, it is a bloke in a boat with a tiger, but the journey is epic, the tale tall, and the morality punchline at the end is well worth waiting for. I'm not a fan of 3D films, but I thought the Life of Pi justified it. The film is a fantasy, and the 3D effects enhance that fantasy.
